Delete account
How to delete your OpenVocab and OpenListening account and data. Both apps share one account, so deleting it from either app deletes your data in both.
Delete in the app
- OpenVocab: Settings > Delete Account
- OpenListening: My Page > Delete account
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Request without the app
If you don't have the app installed or can't sign in, email contact@52ing.com with:
- Subject: Account deletion request
- How you signed in (email, Google, Apple, or Kakao)
- The email address of your account
Please write from that email address if you can. We may ask for more information to confirm the account is yours. We will delete it and let you know within 10 days of your request.
If you have a subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Please cancel it in the store first.
- iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
What we delete
- Account: email address, password, sign-in IDs from Google, Apple or Kakao, name or nickname, profile photo
- Learning data: word lists, progress and results, listening and shadowing history, text you entered into AI features
- Anything else stored with your account
What we keep
The law requires us to keep the records below for a set period. We store them separately, use them only for that purpose, and delete them when the period ends.
